We provide gentle chiropractic adjustments using a comprehensive approach that includes:
The low-impact adjusting techniques we use at Healing River Chiropractic allow us to effectively treat just about anyone, from young athletes to people who are physically fragile because of age of illness
Applied Kinesiology is a safe and non-invasive diagnostic system using muscle testing as a tool for evaluating neurological function. The methodology focuses primarily on neuromuscular function as it relates to the structural, chemical and neurological regulatory systems in the body. Muscle testing assesses the impact of the nervous system on patient health, helping AK practitioners look for the source of disfunction in the balance of the sensory system with the motor system.
Soft tissue therapy is deep muscle work that is used to help relieve pain, tension and reduce scar tissue. We use a variety of soft tissue treatment approaches, including:
Dural Manipulation examines mechanical relationships between the cranium/spine hard frame to the dura and neural elements. It provides assessment and treatment approaches to address restrictions of the dural and neural components not commonly focused on with musculoskeletal symptoms. Dural Manipulation identifies and releases local nerve restrictions while at the same time examines the effect these local fixations have on the rest of the body, and by accessing this relationship, resolves the more comprehensive (global) dysfunctional patterns.
Cranial Manipulation (also called cranial therapy or craniosacral therapy) is one variety of manipulative therapies. It stimulates healing by using gentle hand pressure to manipulate the skeleton and connective tissues, especially the skull and sacrum (the large, triangular bone at the base of the spinal column). Cranial manipulation is based on the theory that the central nervous system, including the brain and spinal cord, has subtle, rhythmic pulsations that are vital to health and can be detected and modified by a skilled practitioner.
Myofascial Release is a form of therapy that addresses restrictions and imbalances of the connective tissue in the body and is used to promote wellness, decrease or eliminate pain and restore movement.
Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Each Myofascial Release Treatment session is performed directly on skin without oils, creams or machinery. This enables the therapist to accurately detect fascial restrictions and apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate release of the fascia.
Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create Myofascial restrictions that can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests such as x-rays, myelograms, CAT scans, electromyography, etc.
The use of Myofascial Release allows us to look at each patient as a unique individual. Our one-on-one therapy sessions are hands-on treatments during which our therapists use a multitude of Myofascial Release techniques and movement therapy. We promote independence through education in proper body mechanics and movement, self treatment instruction, enhancement of strength, improved flexibility, and postural and movement awareness.
"I cannot speak highly enough about the care that Dr. Kellie gives. At the initial consultation she made me feel confident that I was on the right path. Follow up appointments showed positive results from the supplements and I could feel a definite difference.
After each appointment, I leave feeling more optimistic every time.
Dr Kellie is knowledgeable, thorough, kind and caring! Highly recommend to anyone who is feeling stuck, like I was, not getting answers the traditional ways." - Stacie J.
Functional Medicine is a systems biology–based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of disease. Each symptom or differential diagnosis may be one of many contributing to an individual’s illness.
Clinical Nutrition is the practice of analyzing if a person is consuming an adequate amount of nutrients for good health. A clinical nutritionist is concerned with how nutrients in food are processed, stored and discarded by your body, along with how what you eat affects your overall well-being.
Morphogenic Field Technique is a symbiotic combination of energetic healing and nutritional healing. The energy field is used to find the foundational and the clinical nutritional needs of the body at the cellular level using a modified form of muscle response testing. The Morphogenic field (or M-Field) is an extension of the nervous system.

The science and art of Modern Homeopathy embody what many people envision as a 21st century medicine. Homeopathy is a health care approach that respects the wisdom of the body. It is an approach that utilizes medicines that stimulate the body's own immune and defense system to initiate the healing process. It is an approach that individualizes medicines according to the totality of the person's physical, emotional, and mental symptoms. It is an approach that is widely recognized to be safe. And it is an approach that can be potentially very effective in treating the new types of diseases that are afflicting us now and will affect us in the 21st century.
"My 8-year-old daughter had a severe virus with fever, bloody nose, headache and nausea. I took her to the pediatrician where they did blood work and was told she had a bad virus with acute myositis and her blood work was very abnormal. I was then told to wait a week and bring her back for follow up blood work with a hematologist. No other recommendations were given to try and resolve the issue. I decided to take her to Dr. Kellie where she treated her with supplements to support the immune system. Within a few days she was feeling better. Six days later we returned to the pediatrician for follow up blood work and the doctor was astounded as all of her lab results were within normal range. I don’t know what other parents do when all they are told to wait and see. We are so thankful for Dr. Kellie and what she does.:" - S.H. and V.H.
